Mission, Vision & Goals

Mission:

To create and enhance educational opportunities for Southfield Public School students and staff.

Vision:

Southfield Public Schools Education Foundation seeks to support the mission of the Southfield Public School District in preparing our students for success in college and careers.  Through strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts, the Southfield Public Schools Education Foundation provides resources that support the academic, social, and cultural development of Southfield Public School students, as well as creative initiatives for staff development.

Goals:

Fundraising

Improve fundraising strategies that provide monies to meet operational expenses and provide grant support annually.

Growth & Engagement

Enlarge and engage the board and community in the work of the Foundation.

Outreach

Develop better communication strategies between the SPS Foundation, SPS leadership, the foundation community, and the general public.

These goals will guide the work of the staff and board for the future. We look forward to fulfilling the goals and thus making a significant contribution to the teaching and learning that occurs in the schools.

Finance

The Foundation operates exclusively for charitable educational purposes within the meaning of the Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as a nonprofit corporation.
